Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol

I don't know what to say about this drama other than it was weird from the very beginning. This is one of the few dramas that I didn't stick with for more than half an hour. It was totally impossible to see more than 2 episodes. I love Lee Jae-Wook but unfortunately this drama is not the best thing he has in his portfolio. Fortunately, this is a production that came out before Alchemy of Souls!

What is drama about? (borrowed from MyDramaList because I don't even feel like writing it)

Goo Ra Ra is a naive rich girl, who dreams of being a great pianist with her father's love guiding her. But her path becomes rocky when her father passes away, and she finds herself going bankrupt. Being scammed of a home and needing an escape, she goes on a ride where she encounters an accident trying to avoid Sun Woo Joon, a diligent worker trying to make ends meet. Being hospitalized with a broken arm and no place to go, guilty Sun Woo Joon decides to take responsibility and take care of her. With Go Ra Ra’s naive personality, she slowly begins creeping into Sun Woo Joon's heart, while trying to deal with the challenges of living an adult life.

This will be short because I didn't like the drama 😕

As for the acting, it was quite good. The actors got into the characters and played naturally. There were many scenes set up to make it funny, but unfortunately it turned out rather weird than funny... just awkward 😶

Nevertheless, the character of Ra-Ra was quite interesting. Each of us probably knows one person who simply ignores life's worries and is always positive. It's more or less a Ra-Ra character, cutting out the death, bankruptcy, car crash, and kidnapping by a stalker. It sounds dangerous, but these were short stages in her life because she quickly managed to find friendly people who helped her out of this ordeal 👍 Lee Jae Wook playing Sun Woo Joon was also convincing. I liked his character... until the fiasco in the last episodes. For the first time, I hoped that the main male character would die because why should he continue to suffer. Then the series might have a sad end, but at least it would be highly rated. Now it won't get more than 5/10. I'm sorry Jae Wook 😭

So as for the acting of the main characters and the side characters were pretty good. The problem is the script. A bit later than midway, the producers decided that everything was too lovely, so they must add some DRAMA! Ra-Ra and Woo Joon had to go through one of those stupid kdrama staples as a lead gets an incurable disease, characters suddenly cannot communicate, a lead loses their memory, an ex-girlfriend appears .... But the producers decided to go a step further and take the story to the heights of frustration, because the pain after the death of a loved one is the same as the pain of a breakup, right?

I was crying like a nut case when I got to know THAT but still thought that it is not the worst ending. What happened happened, it's sad but livable. Acceptable ending. No. They couldn't leave something good being good. They had to destroy us with a giant emotional roller-coaster 😡😠 and bring Woo Joon back to life. 5 years of not giving a sing of life and than suddenly showing up?! WTF!!! If that was my story, I would kill that guy for sure.

I'm exposing the ending as there is absolutely no need for you to watch Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol. I had a lot of hopes for this drama .... just look at the description... it's sounds great and Lee Jae Wook is there!! It may be predictable, but it could have been turned into a really good show! It was supposed to be a sweet and fluffy where everything works out perfectly for Ra-Ra despite some major bumbs. But they made it a collection of strange people, scenes and an ending that calls for vengeance to heaven. If you think about watching this or something else -> choose "something else". These 16 episodes will just give you begginers hopes and then crush them with a ton concrete block 💀
