Marry My Husband

I haven't been here for a while. Unfortunately, I had too much TV so I stopped watching dramas and focused on work and relaxation outside the home. I recharged my batteries and I'm back! I'm coming back with a vengeance because I decided to start an equivalent blog in my native language 😊 available soon to visit!

Moving on to THE DRAMA! What was that! Wow! I wouldn't have thought that a drama could be so addictive from the very first minutes. And I'm not just talking about myself here! My husband fell into the trap of K-drama and he was the one who was impatient waiting for the next episodes. This is his third drama and according to him, each subsequent one is better than the previous one ^^ I can't agree more. Marry My Husband was pinnacle of intrigue drama 💙

Who and why should marry my husband?

Kang Ji Won has married her first love Park Min Hwan and thought she won a lottery but over time their marriage became a her nightmare. Min Hwan was permamently unemployed, useless at home and his mother was adding to the fire. Ji Won had to do everything on ther own. That wore her out and she found herself sick. Not just a burn out but a full-fetched cancer.

When she thinks her life is about to finish with her achieving nothing, she wakes up in the past. Exactly in 2003 when she was close to accept Min Hwan proposal. Determined to change her life, she decides to make her best friend to marry Min Hwan to move the faith away from her. She meets again with her old acquaintances who were harboring a lot of unknown truth about her loved ones.

For the level of entertainment I could give this drama an easy 9/10 but even though the content was unique and brilliant, the main characters could have been better. It hardly ever happens when secondary characters are better than primary ones.

I really like Park Min Young, she always plays an interesting characters but here in many scenes she was irritating. She was so heavily focused on revange that it was annoying. I like her as an actress but Kang Ji Won is not my favourite. Plus I didn't feel her with Na In Woo aka Yoo Ji Hyuk. Their chemistry was mediocare at best. 😟Moreover, his character was painfully boring. He often acted like an autistic child. One time he was calm, suddenly he would jump up for some unknown reason, again calm, suddenly something irritated him.... As with the main actress, I prefer him as an actor than the character he played 😅

Moving on to the interesting characters! Soo Min and Min Hwan were more than excelent. As weird as it sounds Joo Ran, Hee Yeon and Eun Ho were great fillers but they were also wonderful friends and supporters 😍 But I'm more in love with villains than with the goodies. Su Min (Song Ha Yoon) and Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung) were as great as legendary Ok Taec Yeon in Vincenzo. They produced a real hate in my vains. Made me yell at the tv while going forward with destroyment and laugh at their failure. Their acting was a perfect mixture of selfishnes and greed. Soo Min was a classical sociopath who was perfectly blending into the society while Min Hwan was just an mommy supported asshole who though is smart. THOSE TWO MADE THE DRAMA 😈

Personally, I completely identify with Yoo Hee Yeon 💜 Cheerful foodie who loves to exaggerate. I would like to see her in another drama where she would continue her love affair with good food and chef Baek Eun Ho. This is a couple totally made for each other! I liked their chemistry more than the main couple! BAH! Even Lee Suk Joon and Yang Joo Ran had better chemistry 😭😆 They were one of the more interesting characters in this drama. If I were to rank couples according to their originality and interestingness, I would place villains as first, then Lee & Yang, later foodies and in the end main couple 😅 I think that was not the idea of the directors ahha

Overall, the drama is great, I had a lot of fun watching it. Despite the use of several stereotypes, the script was exciting and made me want to watch more and more. I give it 8.5/10. In terms of acting, every character mentioned here plus maybe 3 additional background characters, deserves great applause. Without them, Marry My Husband wouldn't be as nerve-wracking 🙈😅😀

In the end ... would I recommend the drama? A THOUSAND TIMES YES! Marry My Husband is a gripping drama that leaves no stone unturned. It perfectly shows how karma can work and that you cannot be lenient towards certain people.
