AND THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE SHORT DRAMAS! Starting Remarriage and Desires I would never expect to drawn in it so badly. From the begining to the very end I enjoyed it to the fullest. It has a great characters, fantastic storyline and amazing execution. It is a star contrast to recently watched Lied Hidden In My Garden which could easily be called boring.
In short: Through an exclusive matchmaking agency, rich & powerful strive to marry a desirable bachelor/ette and join the pinnacle of society. It all starts with injustice, affair and suicide, then it transforms into hatred, revenge and the desire to bring the right order.
I could talk about this drama for hours but unfortunately it only consists of 8 episodes so I can't say too much without revealing the content. What I love about this drama is showing how evil deeds are something so normal that even to reach justice you have to do some evil. The corruption, dependency, secret connections... all possible twists and turns are something totally normal here 😈 All keeping my interst to click on that next episode and binge Remarriage and Desires. Drama might be a Netflix Original but it shows completly different level of anything I saw made by this stream platform. It actually has an excellent quality! I'm highly surprised and happy to find this. I've watched it in 2 days but easily could do it in one if I wouldn't have to work 😆
Drama delivers what it promises - remarriage agency and fullfilment of ones' desires. It has pretty interesting characters who are presented with enough details and background to get to know, like or hate them. The story is almost perfectly tailored to 8 episodes. I had the impression that the ending was too rushed. The last scene was unnecessary for me. They could have at least not introduced the main couple into a formal relationship, but only declared who she chose. This form didn't quite suit me. Still, it didn't take a single ounce out of the previous 7.75 episodes. I think it is the only big minus I have found here.
Other cons could be:
- Not enough time tgiven o develop a believable romance (that's why the ending doesn't seem right)
- A bit unreasonable and bland female lead
Personally, I liked Jin Yoo Hee's role and story more. Amazing character development and fantastic acting from start to finish. Her outfits were sexy and conservative at the same time (HOOOW?!). Several times I wanted her to win this war.
Pros ❤:
- FL might be bland but she still was a strong character
- Fantastic acting of whole cast. All 5 main characters were excelent
- Costumes and sets were incredible, they heavily attracted to the world of splendor and platinum payment cards
- The way how Rex matched rich and powerful people up
- Sound track, epecially the intro song 💛
In conclusion, I fully recommend this drama because it accelerates the heart rate and is perfect for exciting weekend evenings when it is still too cold to sit on the terrace. However, this is not a production that I would come back to, as those series have this feature that you only need to see them once and you will remember the content for half your life. Netflix really did a great job here and Business Proposal, which if I remember correctly is also their drama, is nothing. Remarriage and Desires gets easily 8/10 from me 😈😍
