Why women love

For the first time I will start my review with giving 7,5 points because drama was just amazing. I must say that it is a bit odd giving such a high score to show without complicated and intense script but the chemistry between the leads and performance of all actors were just fantastic.

Some words about the script. Zhao Jiang Yue is a strong manager of a tech firm and it's known for her hardwork and profesionalism. To promote the dating app, realased by her company, she promises to find a partner within just three months. Unfortunatelly for her and her promise, Jiang Yue is clueless when it comes to love and dating. This is where the CEO's son bangs into her life. Gu Jia Xin's mother wants him to take charge of the business, but he doesn't want to hear about it as he is a successful racing driver. Forced to become Jiang Yue's assistant, Jia Xin does everything to intimidate her and make the most problems possible so she will let him go. The actual story starts when Jiang Yue agrees on Jia Xin's help to capture her old love's heart and when they realize that there is something more between them than just promoting dating app.

The sizzling chemistry between Jia Xin and Jiang Yue are everything here. From the the day they meet, until the moment of confirmation of their feelings, the tension between them can be cut with a knife. It's a clever combination of strongheaded business woman and light hearted young man who cooks, cleans, can speak the language of cacti, can play and teach golf, is a racer, knows various computer programs, is a magician, a gamer, can livestream, sings and plays the piano, fly helicopter..... and many more.

Why women love has many sides funny and sad, cute and spicy. First you see stubborn and focused only on work Jiang Yue who actually has a lovely and sweet. Then you meet selfish Jia Xin who in time opens up and happens to be warmhearted and caring for loved ones and friends. Their characters are changing and explaining their behaviors every episode so at the end you have a feeling that you know them all your life. I love dramas like that and I miss these two 😔💜

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the drama doesn't have complicated script, there is not much "drama" itself, of couse we have fight between 2 alfa-males over beautiful Jiang Yue 😉 but luckly we were saved from scheming of ever mother-in-law or some ex-girlfriends etc. The biggest obstacles that the couple had to go through were an age gap, differance in position in the company and the fact that Jia Xin is the son of the boss. The public's reaction to the relationship of an older girl and a younger boy in Asian society was already well presented in Her Rational Life and Something in the Rain. For me as an European, this reaction is odd and as it comes to me, I don't care if my husband would be younger or older than me, the same comes to him. If I would be the older one and he younger we would still be together and family would not have problem with our numbers. I wish someone would nicely explain me where this way of thinking comes from 😏😊

No plot; this show hinged on the lives of office workers and a romance between a younger man and older woman. There was also a love triangle or quad happening. The acting was subpar at best. ML is an idol with very little acting experience; if he wants to continue in the industry, I hope he gets himself an acting coach and learns how to show emotions not just say the lines. The stone-faced look didn't help the softer scenes or anywhere really; even the two times he really cried just didn't hit the mark, like he was trying too hard. Also not sure what was going on with the fashion on this show; the ML in particular had some avant-garde Project Runway thing going on that more often than not, didn't make any sense for neither him nor his character. Also way too much product placement; KellyOne water was literally everywhere.

All of the secondary characters and couples have their own stories and they all come in when needed and resolved accordingly. I'm very glad that ML's best friend didn't just disappear because he was in a coma the entire series as often seen with useless characters. He was given etches of improvements and then him being shown awake at a very important time in the series. The OSTs were very on point and appropriate where they were added. Very glad the singular antagonist was dealt with accordingly and that it didn't drag on for eternity considering this was a series with only 24 episodes.

Would I recommend it? I was looking for a rom-com where it was easy on the brain and you could just enjoy. This fit the bill to a T. So if that's what you're looking for as well, this is your show! Grab some popcorn, get ready to laugh a lot, and enjoy the cuter then hell moments especially starting with episode 17. ;)
